Gregory J. Witherspoon, Partner

Greg has over thirty years experience in the financial, operational and consulting areas. He has served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, President and Strategic Planning executive with companies ranging from start-ups to companies operating with hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues.

Greg has developed and implemented strategic business plans, financial restructurings including debtor in possession plans, and has overseen the acquisition and integration of several companies.

He has extensive experience in the capital markets ranging from initial public offerings, secondary offerings, various debt offerings and syndicated placements of billions of dollars of warehouse lines of credit.

Greg has developed an expertise in assisting organizations through their critical times and working with the existing management teams to develop and implement alternative business plans to the benefit of shareholder values. During these periods he has acted as Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer or as an independent consultant.

Greg originally began his career working with two of the largest certified public accounting firms for ten years were he helped middle market companies in diverse industries including service, manufacturing, distribution, hospital and health care, real estate and entertainment.

Greg left public accounting to join a struggling entrepreneur who owned companies that were in the hospitality, real estate, aircraft, manufacturing and franchising businesses. He oversaw the acquisition of several companies, the creation of a new chain of restaurants and assisted in selling two of the larger companies for over $100 million.

As the Chief Financial Officer of a company, Greg managed growth from a small one state operation with a market value of $8 million to a listed New York Stock Exchange company with operations covering the virtually all of the United States with a market value exceeding $1 billion.

Greg became a Certified Public Accountant in California and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from California University Long Beach. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ability First (formerly know as Crippled Children's Society) as their treasurer and chairman of the finance committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Mind, Body Spirit, a charity that specializes in helping children with disabilities. He previously was a director of corporate recruiting for United Way in the Santa Barbara area and serves on the board of a public company, Approved Financial Corporation (APFN).
